Pee Wee Martial Arts- Lil' Dragons ages 4-6
Martial Arts helps children learn focus and discipline while having fun with our Lil' Dragon programs, and James Walker's Bushido Academy is proud to be a part of it. We are catching kids early and teaching children from ages 4 to 6 how to respect their bodies as well as their parents and teachers.
They learn to kick out disrespect and lack of discipline while learning important life skills such as stranger awareness, anti-drugs, health, nutrition, and exercise. According to the Journal of the American Medical
Association, almost 30% of our youth are involved in bullying situations and roughly 5-10% suffer from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Our programs address these issues head-on by providing
children a whole life approach to making choices that effect both their mental and physical health. The best part is no one sits on the bench. Everyone is included. The Lil’ Dragons programs catch all kids early and helps them develop terrific life skills that will make them not only a better citizen but a healthier one as well.

Children's Martial Arts Programs - Youth Martial Arts Leadership Program
Leadership is not only about having other follows directions, but it’s about communicating with people and building relationships—a leader is worthless by him/herself. Our 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and 21 Laws of Leadership curriculum give our students the tools they need to not only succeed in life, but to have the
strength all leaders need when confronted with hard choices. With these skills in place, our students can make wise decisions about college and their educational activities.
Throughout the program we teach the following traditional katas and wazas (as well as their associated
bunkai--interpretation in application):
Pinon Nidan
Pinan Shodan
Pinan San Dan
Pinan Yandan
Pinan Godan
Once a youth earns the rank of Brown Belt (4th Kyu), he/she is promoted to the adult class no matter their age. By this time in their training we are certain of their ability to defend themselves and conduct themselves responsibly.
